Problems with High Performance Holly Carb loading up with gas on a 1966 Chevy Impala SS and flooding out.

Pre-1980 Chevrolet Impala SS 327

Already Tried:
Adjusted carb several times,and idle . Car runs fine in driveway, but can smell gas and black smoke is coming out of the tailpipes. when I drive it, it bogs down and dies. Seems to be flooding itself out.
