My 1994 Infinity's battery was draining overnite.then on the dash where it tells you what was wrong started going crazy telling me transmission failure then ABS failure ,then air bag failure,then it stopped and the airbag and ABS light remained on.I continued to drive it after jump starting it every morning it seem to run ok other than the radio would go off and when I pushed the brake it would come back on.Then I was driving it and stopped at the store and it wouldnt start.I tried jumping it but it wouldnt get but about 1 block and die again.I had it towed home.My friend got underneath it and said that the alternater looks black like it burned up.Do you think all this was from the alternator or is there more to it that simply replacing it?if I do replace the alternater will the readings on the dash stop and return to normal or will they need to be reset somehow?Is all this something that I can do?
