1st question.2 days ago my 1993 3.8 taurus station wagon started making a high pitch whining/squealing noise..ie chirping bird sound. What would cause this and how to fix it? The noise is there on and off. When i open the hood it sounds like it is coming from the belt or top of engine. Applying the brakes does not stop the noise. 2nd question. Is it easy to replace the coolant fan on this car. My car runs hot when idling thermostat has been replaced and the fan does not appear to start at all. The fan was smoking the first time it started to run hot. Is there a way to test fan? Is there a link you can show me to replacing my fan? Also when should this fan turn on maybe i am just not noticing it come on cause i am looking at the wrong times. Thanks in advance.
