I have a 2000 jetta 4cly when i start the car it turns ...

I have a 2000 jetta 4cly when i start the car it turns on fine,when i step on the gas pedal it doesnt respond at all(it wants to shut off) get off the pedal and it stays running at idle, check engine light was on for a random missfire cly1 and 2. I have replaced the plugs,wires,ignition module/coil.after about ten minutes the car runs fine, with a slight hesitation in the shifts. Can you help?

Get your fuel pressure checked. You really should have the car scanned for this problem. Here are my suggestions-your APP or your TP is malfunctioning... You should have them checked or replaced.Parts usually cost too much to start replacing the things you may not need to.

Reply to john's Post: I have scanned the vehicle,and the only codes it gives me is a cylinder miss fire.I forgot to mention i also replaced the fuel filter. the car only acts up for about five to ten minutes(when first starting the vehicle,but not at every start) after that the car runs fine.
