1993 Dodge 1 ton dually 2 wheel drive diesel

Sent to Car Experts December 01 11:04 AM

1993 Dodge 1 ton dually 2 wheel drive diesel automatic. My brake rotors became to thin to service so I had new rotors, new pads and new calipers installed by Goodyear Tire Shop, bearings were also repacked,as soon as I drove it out of shop I could tell the front end shook and vibrated when brakes were applied,I thought the rotors were out of round or somehow defective, the shop replaced both rotors, and pads with new out of the box again and made sure the rotors were torqued to the hubs and my stock wheel lugs were torqued per spec. This made no difference what so ever truck still shook and vibrated when brakes were applied, shop then put another set of calipers on and bled front brakes this also made no difference, this truck had no vibration problem until we installed these new components, the tire store said they had never seen such, they asked me to drive it a day or so and see what happens,it hasnt changed still shakes when brakes are applies,I state again truck never did this untill new components were installed.Help!!

Sounds like maybe the rotors were not turned properly. You need to remove the tires again and measure the rotor runout with a dial indicator as this will tell you for sure if the rotors are warped. If in fact they are then I would recomend turning the rotors with an on the car brake lathe as this will match your new rotors with your hubs, much better and faster than removing rotors to turn on bench. If you need any more info, please ask

These rotors were brand new units out of the box the boxes said''These units are ready to install,no further machining is nessesary, they are balanced and trued''I cant see how you would find four in a row that are machined incorrectly,I will go ahead and accept your answer but I am not satisfied.
