the other day i turned my car around and got the left side ...

the other day i turned my car around and got the left side stuck in mud....i tried putting it into reverse. and drive but could not get enough momentum to get out.. i also tried turning it to four wheel drive but to no avail. eventually i got out of the mud but i have noticed that my car drove differently...the left front wheel is lagging...my steering wheel shakes and i believe i might have messed up the front wheel drive. help me-- its thanksgiving..no places are open...is this the problem? is that expensive to fix ( i have a 2000 montero sport) and will driving it cause any further damage...PLEASE HELP ME OUT
