My 1998 Ford Taurus SE, highbeam lights will not turn off. I have tried to remove the fuse and they still will not turn off even when the car is not running.

Yes it has daytime running lamps. I've been disconnecting the battery so the lights will go off when the car is parked. Do you have any idea of what I could do?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

It may be a problem with the daytime running lamps themselves, and would need to be checked by a shop. The most common problems with headlights is the headlamp switch can melt the connector forit and cause a short to power across the connector. This was more common on the older switches, but not particulary this style.Best thing to do is to bring it to a shop that can check the DRL system.
