I have a 89 Corsica. I just replaced the ignition ...

I have a 89 Corsica. I just replaced the ignition switch because I didn't seem to be getting any power to the ignition switch (no dash light were coming on etc..) I have plenty of battery, the lights don't dim when i turn the ignition I just don't seem to have any power to the ignition switch itself what else could it be

yes and they were ok what I foiund out was ther was a broke wire going to the starter it evidently had been rigged before buit the wire they used fell off, thanks for your reply
