1997 Chevy Cavalier Z24, battery replaced, alternator ...

1997 Chevy Cavalier Z24, battery replaced, alternator tested and fine. Car won't move, but engine continues to idle. Nothing happens when accelerator is pressed, no electrial power to car. What should I be looking for?

Are you saying the engine is running but if you push the pedal to the floor the engine speed stays the same?Even in park?
