chrysler sensor air
Sent to Car Experts September 17 09:12 AM

Where is the intake air temperature sensor located on a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire? I am trying to locate the wires to hook up a performance module. The instructions say to find the two wires from the AITthat are black and red but the AIT I believe to have, has 5 wires colored white/yellow, red, brown, brown with stripe, green/yellow. Which should I hook up to?
Thanks!

Your car may differ slightly but the Intake air temp sensor is located on the intake hose for the throttle body as shown below.

Reply to Marc's Post: Marc I appreciate your advice. Can you tell me which two of the five wires I should hook up to. My instructions say to connect to the red & black wires but the colors are as I described.

Thanks Marc. When I locate where the sensor is I will check with you to make sure I have it all clear. Let me know what you would charge. I have never done this before and do not want to insult you with an amount that is not appropriate.

Thanks for your response. I understand a bonus is better, and that is what I will do.

I have taken off the air cleaner shroud. Under it is a plastic "throat" that houses a sensor. It is immediately before what I assume is the throttle body.

I have also located another sensor. This one has a hard plastic tube that winds its way to a sensor (with two wires) that is mounted on the drivers side wheel well. The plastic tube enter into what appears to be the throttle body housing, and is pretty well isolated from the engine with rubber grommets and is routed in such a way so it does not come in contact with hot surfaces.

Thanks,
Brian

No Marc. They are Red/Light Blue & Brown/Red. These are the wires to the sensor mounted on the wheel well that I described before.
