ACCEPTED Check Mark

Possible crank angle sensor connector is washed with coolant, check near the crank pulley and blow out the sensor connector an check for spark and injector pulse. This is the main engine rpm input and tells the coil to fire and injectors to open.

There are some elec. wire's to the left of the pully if you are facing the engine is this the sensor connector you are referring to ? Also,
again if you are facing the engine, as the this is a front wheel drive an the pully is facing the passanger side ( this is for my benefit so I know we are in the same location, I appreciate your expertise) there is toward the top just slightly off to the left of the coolant reservior is what appears to be part of the fuel system as the cables to the engine and connect to the throttel, its attached to the top passanger finder this also appears to have gotten wet as the hose burst towards the top and believe cooland shot up. what is this as there seems to be elec. connections also. What does this part do and could it be damaged it wet

REPLIED Check Mark

Yes that is the crank sensor, sounds like it is the throttle body that the engine cables attach to,this is like a carburetor air horn,it is you air intake system and has various sensors for different inputs and outputs to control engine rpm. Many different sensors across the engine.Best bet is to dry out all the componets with some compressed air or some brake clean. Be careful if you take apart electrical connectors, you dont want to break the locking tabs on the connectors.
