Honda Civic oil change anew air filter

I have a Honda Civic 2000 took it to get oil change they said I need a new air filter and high miles oil so I gpt ot dpme and the next day the check light comes on and the car stalled and shut off I took it back to where I got oil change and air filter they said I have a bad senser what do you say
