Question

Alero 3rd cylinder not firing

Sent to Car Experts September 07, 2005 7:11 p.m.

I have a 2001 Alero - Oldsmobile - 52,000 miles. It was in the shop for two weeks recently. They changed all the wires and plugs and starter coil. I still had trouble with it running rough. The mechanic decided it was the fuel injectors on the third and fourth cylinders. They replaced them and now the third cylinder is still not firing so they said I need to take it to the dealer. I do not have a lot of money and am concerned about taking my car in since I don't know the first thing about automobiles except to put gas in it and have it serviced regualrly - oil change etc. Do you know if this is serious and is it a problem with aleros? I see many, many aleros on the roads here in FL. Please can you advise me.
