Sent to Car Experts August 25, 2005 12:21 a.m.

Earlier today I had to use my parking brake on a hill. When I got home My taillights won't turn off.
I have a 2003 Chevy s-10 extended cab.

Is it the tail lights or the brake lights?

Not exactly sure. I know my brake lights are red. I know my reverse light is the white ones. What are the taillights then? Because, aren't there only the red and the white.

Anyway, I know it is the larger red light on top that won't turn off. When I press the brakes, even when the car is on, there is no change in the light, it always is on. And my hazards do not blink.

Simply step on the brake and see if they get brighter.
