Question

Could it be transmission troubles??

Sent to Car Experts August 16, 2005 3:56 p.m.

I have a 95 Toyota corolla and one evening I was driving home and my interior lights went out. I parked my car to make sure the outside lights were cool and they were, but when I tired to move my car, the gear would not move out of park. So I had my neighbor look at it, and he's all ghetto, and some how with all his strength he has been able to move the gear for me to drive. It takes a lot of strength to move it, but once it is out of park my car runs OK. I know I should not have to use all my strength to move my car out of park. What is the problem? I put transmission oil in it. This is depressing me so bad because it just seems like it is my transmission and I'm a broke college student with no money but needs transpo! Please help!! I really want to know what the problem is and will I blow up if I keep driving my car!!

no my brake lights are not working, and I think found that I need a new brake light switch, does that sound about right? Although my transimission is stilling leaking oil and I think a new gasket is needed. I wonder how much that'll all cost?
