MITSIBUSHI GALLANT 1996
Sent to Car Experts August 09 10:14 AM

my 1996 MITSUBISHI GALLANT "check engine " light went up for which i got the diagnostic at Pepboys & auto zone & both told me that my Temp. Sensor & Idle control r malfunctioning. & as per Pepboys recommendation i got the temp. sensor changed as the first step to see if the problem goes off. first 2 days it worked fine but from third day my car used to race up when ever i put my brakes or stopped my car or whenever i stsrted the car & the " check engine" light came on again. Yesterday i drove my car 2 miles then i saw my temp. needle going up & immediatelt stopped my car for 30 minutes & then strted back again. again this same thing happened today also just after driving 1--1.5 miles....
please can u tell me is it the problem with Idle control valve or something else. becoz before changing the Temp. sensor it never overheated....why it is doing so when one thing has been replaced.....

You need to get the codes read again to see which ones reset. If you have an AutoZone in your area, they will do it for free.
