'96 Dodge Grand Caravan large 6 cylinder. Engine cuts off while slowing down and/or starting. Foot must be off the gas for this to happen. It's hell in stop and go traffic. Otherwise car performs fine. No "Check engine light on. However when I took it in for another reason the check engine light was on and there was a transmission code. Could something in the trans cause the engine to cut out when foot of the gas? What else may be causing the problem? My usual mechanic can't seem to troubleshoot the problem. HELP!
