where is the compessor of the ac in a honda crv, and what does it look like. Im car repair ignorant.

It's going to be difficult for me to do anything for you besides advise you to let a professional look at it. The compressor is a large unit driven by the belts but if you can't identify it, any other instructions will be futile.

This is a generic view of a set of pulleys and one of them would be a compressor but every engine varies.

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: Ok thank you, I will let a expert look at it. Last question, if I dont run my ac, am I still able to drive the car and not worry about it breaking down, or is it something that must get fixed right away..thanks

Yes, it looks like your OK with driving it without A/C because I don't think the pully bearing is damaged. Just be careful because some cars are wired to run the A/C when in "defrost" mode also. You should have somebody unplug the compressor as soon as possible.
