my ford thunderbird keeps overheating what could cause this?

i have a 91 ford thunderbird, and about a month ago i was in an accident where I rear ended someone, the engine seems to be pusshed back and we are now leaking radiator fluid, the past 2 days the car has been smoking and overheating, I have added cradiator fluid, oil, is there any reason why this make be happening? And why I might be leaking.
