Question

1998 Toyota Camry parts replacement

Sent to Car Experts August 04, 2005 8:58 p.m.

I have 2 questions regarding replacing parts on my '98 Toyota Camry. First is the lens for the front headlight (corner light). I took out the old cracked lens and put the new one in, but it does not stay in place securely. Second is concerning my side view mirror. The plastic around the mirror was cracked off and the dealer sent in an entire new mirror including the plastic part. I can't take off the old mirror because the electrical cables running from the mirror to the car (for the power mirrors) seem to be attached and the only way to remove the mirror from the cable would be to cut the wire (?). But then the mirror could not be adjusted from inside the car (panel). How would I deal with the electrical cables for this mirror??

Thank you for your help!
