1993 pontiac grand am harmonic balancer

i have a 1993 pontiac grand am , i replaced the harmonic balancer and the crankshaft sensor, but now the car wont start, i get it close to starting by trying to adjust the sensor and the harmonic balancer to align right, but ive worked long and hard at this repair and i feel there is something im missing, what can i do to fix the problem?

Remove the crank sensor plug and look inside to see if any if the blades are bent over. Does the plug lock in easily. Are you sure you have the right balancer? Did you match it up with ther old one?
