My car has been running excellent, and then all of a sudden it started to rattle, and then come to a sudden stop, and turned off. So I pulled over, and took the key out, and then started the car again. It started up strong again, so I went about half a mile and then it started rattling again, and I pulled over, I decided not to go any further, and just called a tow truck not wanting to further damage anything. I have the car towed to a friends house so they could look at it. There is oil in the cooliant, but no water in the oil. There is no other syptoms. No over heathing, no steam coming out under the hood. nothing no other signs, can you please help. I called my car person, but he can't look at it untill next week. but I need my car to get to work. please help Iam a single mom and need my car. Thanks so much

Ok, So this doesnt sound like my head gasket that I should go with the raditor, and I think you are right because my temp. gague on my dash doesnt go up at all it just stays the same. So I should just replace the raditor?

ACCEPTEDCheck Mark
check the trans fluid first, if its low or has coolant in it you should also flush the transmission, and replace the radiator, but no it dosent sound like a blown head gasket.
