My 1998 ford Taurus SE Has the 24 valve dohc engine in it. The other day I was driving it and my speedometer stopped working along with the power steering, Also the service engine soon was lit, and the over drive light was flashing on and off.pLUS IT WAS SHIFTING REALLY BAD LIKE IT WAS TRYING TO STAY IN 4TH GEAR, not a good thing. So I was wondering if the battery had anything to do with all of that messing up, Does the car require a full charge all the time to keep the computer working right? If not what is wrong with it? And how do I fix these problems?
