I have a 1988 Chevy Cavalier Station Wagon, 2.0 Liter engine, and has 57,xxx miles on it. Lately I had to keep refilling my coolant and my radiator, and never saw a leak. So, the other day i drove it 100 miles +, and when i returned home I never did check to see if the coolants needed to be refilled. The next day my mom drove my car to work and back home, and the car didn't run hot. But then she drove it about 15 miles, and that is when it ran hot on her. So she pulled into a gas station lot and checked my coolant and it was bone dry, she then checked my radiator and it was low also. So she started pouring antifreeze in the radiator, but it never seemed to be filling up. So then she filled up the coolant. She started heading home, and that is when the lifters started rattling, and hot, moist air started coming out of the vents, but she made it home. So I then checked the coolant again and it was bone dry again, and so I knew something was not right. so I pulled out the hose and set it on the ground, so i then checked the radiator and it was low also as well. I turned on the hose and tryed to fill ujp the radiator , then I heard the water leaking out from under the car, and sure enough the water just kept pouring out unto the ground. The thing is though is that where the water is leaking from, I dont know what it is called, so now I cant explain to any one where it is exactly leaking from. all I know is that it looks like a rubber spout, and I don't know if it is a busted line or what. I can't drive it to the auto part store because I am afraid of blowing a head gasket. Can You Help Me? What should I do? How much would it cost to fix a busted radiator line?
