REPLIED Check Mark

Your starting point is to test for spark, iinjecter pulse and fuel pressure. When you find out which of them is missing, you'l know what system is having problems.

If you have all of those, then you need to check your timing marks on the timing belt.

All of those are fine. We get a spark, but will not start or run.
We have checked the fuel pump and injectors-fine. gets a spark too, but won;t run or start.

I'm sorry, my answer was not meant to be rude but I do this for a living and I answer these things all day and never does someone already have all the answers I need, especially if what you say is true, the car would be running because you have eliminated all the causes of not running. If a car has correct fuel pressure, spark, injecter pulse and correct valve timing, it will run. Now maybe somebody is telling you they've check all this and have not.

My son said that the fuel was pumping out when he took the hose off and held his thumb on the end. He said gas was in wherever it is suppose to be if the injectors are working. I asked yesterday if the belts had broken and he said no that the timing belt was in the correct posotion. I did not mean to be insulting, but we are stumped which does not usually happen with the cars. He did say the distributor was dirty. Is the fuel pump supposed to pump at a mcertain rate? We did not put it on a machine.
