You really have to nail down where the leak is coming from before we can tell you anything or you can fix it. Try to follow the trail up-wards to the leak it could be a hose on the top of the engine leaking down off the back of the engine.

it is not a hose leak.it is coming from the area between the engine and transmission.the topside of engine and transmission is dry,it seems to be between the engine and tranny and is not visible.i need to find out if there is a freeze plug between the engine and transmission.it appears as though the engine and tranny need to be seperated in order to see where the leak is actually coming from.i wanted to know if there are any freeze plugs on the engine block between the two, before i pull it apart.and if not any freeze plugs there, and the block is cracked is that something that can be sucsessfully repaired by welding?thanks for your reply.i really dont have much money so i was going to attempt to fix this myself as it is my only means of transportation.thanks again for any information you may have.
