Hey there Bobby thankyou for replying. My sisters car has an automatic trans. It is the 98 model cadillac catera. The problem we are having is when parked on a hill whether front down or uphill she is having trouble shifting the gear selector out of park. I replaced the radiator a month ago and I was not able to replace the tranny fluid that was in the trans cooler at the time. I have since found a or what I think is a fill point for the tranny on the drivers side about half way up from the bottom of the bell housing. It is a 12 mm plug type bolt with fine thread. But when I tried to fill with a soap bottle type pump with tube and rubber plug I was unsure how much fluid actually made it in. Any help would be much appreciated. I was a heavy wheel diesel mechanic in the army about ten years ago. But these sealed tranny systems are giving me problems. The tranny also shifts hard like it has a motor mount broken or something.
