I have a 1986 Cadillac Sedan DeVille and there is a whining ...

I have a 1986 Cadillac Sedan DeVille and there is a whining under the hood when it shifts out 1st to 2nd and when it shifts from 2nd the whining is gone until it downshifts to 2nd.
