This could be a number of things so I will give you a list. First have the charging system checked at a parts store, they do this for free, the reason is because the alternator and or batterty may be weak so at lower rpms it does not have enough power to keep running. There is and idler positioning sensor that may also be at fault here, obviously this controls the idle. If the engine light is on you will want to have that scanned while at the parts store, once again most stores do this and they do it for free. If there is a light on have it scanned and let me know what it sad. Another option is a fuel delivery problem such as a fuel filter, which would be more noticeable at lower rpms then at higher.
