1999 Cadillac d'Elegance
When the air-conditioner comes on, HOT air blows out the two dash(mid) outlets on the Passenger side. The two dash outlets on the Driver's side blow COLD air as they should.( the rear outlet also works correctly blowing COLD air)
What is the problem?Does a circuit board control this system or are some control valves stuck in a fixed position? Any help with this problem would be appreciated. Can I fix it myself or do I have to take it in to the Caddie Dealer?
Thank you.    Sam Egglestone

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: It is not a dual temperature system. However , the front passenger can use a button on the arm rest to moderate the temperature on that side by up to plus or minus 4 degrees.Adjusting this button doesn't change the condition descibed at all.

That's a dual temp system.

They have independent blend door controls for that. They use an electric motor/actuator to control the blend doors.

Your problem can be

a sticking door

a bad actuator

bad controls

You would have to access the actuator for that side and see if it's responding in any way or if the door is sticking..

In the image #2 is for the driver's side annd #3 is for the passenger side. This is under the dash, behind the glove box.
