Went to start a 2000 cadillac deville. Put key in & all electrical was out or went out. Hear clicking in the the dash. Guages move on their own. Currently no lights, radio ect... no trunk light or under hood light. Put key in & nothing. Continue to hear clicking in the dash at the guages and the guages move with the clicking. Can it be a relay, fuse or battery. Had no symptoms before. Started everytime.

I would check the battery and the battery terminals for a good connection.Remove the terminals from the battery and inspect for corrosion or battery acid leaking.Sometimes you can have a terminal loose and it will cause arc marks on the bolt.If you see that replace the bolt.An auto parts store can test the battery for you if you remove it and take it in.If the battery has never been replaced it's overdue at over six years old.
