I have a 95 Cadillac with oil leak at the upper oil pan. It costs $1200 for the dealer to fix it. Is there some leak seal product that will work instead?

Hi Wgb, and welcome to Just answer, Super mechanic here. AHTZA lotta cash, (lol) for an oil leak on a car that they made. There are several so called sealers on the market, most of them are designed to stop seals from leaking though.

Depending on how bad your leak is, you might want to find a good independent shop to fix it.

I have found one sealer that I have had success with and that is "Bearin Seal", I think it is made by 3M but I'm not sure. If there are gaskets that are leaking, this stuff will get in there and seal it up. I would think that they all have basically the same chemicals in them. I would try that before spending that much to stop it from leaking, it's up to you.
