Have you had the cooling system checked for hydro carbons ie,for a leaking head gasket? Is the heater control manual or climate control? If you feel the heater hoses are they hot or cold when this is happening?Does the heat change to out of the defroster when this is happening.

Reply to Frank's Post: The heater has a climate control on the dash, I can set it on 90 degrees and it's just barely warm.
I have had the system power flushed and checked for leaks ,all OK. What type of watet cantrol valve does it have and where is it located, I haven't found one.
Thank you

Usally if it has a hot water valve its in one of the heater hoses, closer to the firewall. It doesn't have on inside. Are the hoses hot or cold when this happens?

I would want to look at the temp door actautor inside the car on the heater box.You have 3 actuators and can watch them move but its hard to see in there and you practiacllt have to stand on your head and remove the glove box. What we have to determine is if its a control problem with the heater or a coolant flow problem thru the heater.

There is a vacuum control that with climate control electrically regulated. If the air flow goes to defrost on accel it most defenatly would be a vacuum problem in the supply ,check valve or resevoir-better known as the vacuum ball. The hose are behind the glove box on to the top right. You'll be able to see them. Also look for the vacuum line that goes thru the firewall and follow it making sure there are no cracks or splits.
