Hello I have a 1993 Buick Century with a 3.3 Eng. The car has started To hesatate and sometines die when takeing off ! This problem reminds me of a car with a holly carb that the accelerator pump was bad in but this is a fuel INJ. car ? The car also takes off just fine if you push the gas peddel very slowly

There are a couple of things that will cause that symptom. DFirst check the fuel pressure that is is within spec at all times. The other thing that acts that way is the Mass Air flow sensor.

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: Mass air flow senser was just tried and did not help. what about the T.P.S. ? Also the fuel pressure is good and within specs. and there is no codes or check eng light on

Not real likely. You can test that with a DVOM and look for an open spot in the range.It usually won;t have thjat much effect on the engine though.

Reply to Hammer Time's Post: Well I'm not sure what to do sense the fuel pressure is good and the mass air flow senser did not help this problem either. By the way the car runs great otherwise if you are driveing and mash the gas she takeds off just like she should never nissing a lick, this problem only happens at a stop then trying to accelerate, like form a stop sign

That's definately not where is should be so you need to follow up on that info and find out specifically what the pressure is..
