I have a 1991 buick regal 4 door and my low coolant light ...

I have a 1991 buick regal 4 door and my low coolant light keeps blinking on and off sometimes constant then it does it more slowly what could it be my car did not over heat

The light says "low coolant".

Did you check the coolant level in the radiator itself?
