Question

I own a '98 Buick Regal. It ran beautifly until it

Sent to Car Experts August 01, 2006 11:13 p.m.

I own a '98 Buick Regal. It ran beautifly until it just cut off with no warning. It would start back up after it had been cut off for a minute. At worst the car started smoking out of the tail pipe, and finally would not start. Now the car will start, but it smokes out of the tail pipe. The spark plugs corroded, so I replaced them. There is coolant coming from somewhere.
Do you have any suggestions?

Optional Information:
1998 Buick regal ls 380

Already Tried:
spark plugs, and fuel filter. filled radiator, the it started to smoke out of the tail pipe.

The smoke is white. The car has never overheated.

it sounds like the lower intake gaskets went bad.the carrier is plastic with a rubber seal.when these gaskets go bad, usually you will pull coolant into the engine.if the car never overheated, this is your problem.
