1999 Buick Regal - 2 gas cylinders misfiring

The computer checks on car indicates that the 2 of the 6 cylinders are not firing all the time (I smell gas when the 2 gas cylinders are out). I have replaced the spark plugs and have done engine tune up. this happens every few days.. Once it locked up the steaing wheel and the break in the middle of the ride. I am worried that it is becoming dangerous to drive this car. It has 149K miles on it (the new transmission was put in at 100K)
