Removing wire boots when replacing spark plugs on a 200 Buick Lesabre.

climbing on top of enginge and using a wire boot removing tool.

If the plug wires are original, they can often become 'frozen' to the ceramic portion of the spark plug. The best method of removing them is two use the plug wire puller you have and use a twisting motion to break the seal between the two. Than pull outward. Most likely some of them will get damaged, and at this milage it's good idea to replace them. There is also various other plug wire tools available, that may work better on certain ones. The trick is to use a different combination of pullers, and angles to get "stuck" plugs wires off. When replacing with new ones, you should lubricate the tip of the spark plug with dielectric grease, to keep the new set from freezing in the future.
