I have a 1989 Buick Century that clunks really bad when putting it into gear from park, I replaced the "dog bone" in hopes of lessening the jolt but it didn't. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Dan

REPLIED Check Mark

there are 3 other mounts that should be checked depending on engine there will be a front mount by crankshaft pulley Acces through passenger side wheel well and on either side of transaxle (firewall side and towards radiator support) Easiest way to check is jack and securely support front of vehichle while watching mounts have someone put car from park to reverse and neutral to drive while keeping the brake applied the excessive movement will be quite obivious in the worn mounts. If this has been helpful an accept would be appreciated or if you need more info let me know Thank you Bill

I replaced all of the motor mounts on the car (4) and I still get the clunk when moving into reverse.
