'98 Buick Regal - Right turn signals and brake lights
Sent to Car Experts April 01 03:03 PM

'98 Buick Regal - Right turn signals and brake lights work normally. Left turn signal blinks rapidly in front, not at all in the back. Left brake light works normally when turn signal is off, but not at all when turn signal is on. Bulb has been replaced even though it was still good. Disconected wiring at the first connector upstream from the rear lights and tested there -- same result as the lights. Where do I look next???

Check all of nthe fuses under the hood.If they are ok You will most likely need a DRL module. It controls the change from turn signal to DRL function. Here are

Reply to Davo/diablo666's Post: I tested all fuses in two locations (right side of dash and under hood) with a continuity tester. I forgot to tell you that this began as an intermittent problem and is now permanent. Does that change anything?

Does the DRL module really control the turn/brake lights? There are no bulbs in common between the two systems. Where would I find a DRL module? Dealer only?

Sorry I misread your question I thought the front turn signal was the problem not the rear. You probably have a bad turn signal switch then.
