Question

1999 Buick Century, all of a sudden my A/C has started ...

1999 Buick Century, all of a sudden my A/C has started blowing it's 10 amp fuse. Have replaced it twice, the A/C comp. will run about a minute and then it blows the fuse. What could be causeing this problem. Thanks for your help! Jim Cumbie

There are two things that come to mind real quick.The a/c clutch coil is pulling to many amps and is bad or the wiring by the a/c accumulator is rubbed through and shorting out.The air cleaner housing would need to be removed to check the wiring.You will have to look really close because the short could be pinhole sized in the bad wire.

Where is the a/c accumulator located?

Under the air filter housing.It's a big silver aluminum can looking part with two alimunum pipes on it.The wiring in question will be on the side facing the engine.
