I have a '95 buick regal. The button you push to take it out of park and into gear has gotten hard to push. To the point I have to literally hit it to get it out of park. And when I do get it out of park, it's slow going into gear unless the engine is warm. Otherwise, no shifting problems.

You will have to replace the shifter to correct the button problem.The park lock solenoid is probably going bad.The other problem is probably due to the seals in the transmission getting worn or a bad bushing in the trans.You will probably have to overhaul the trans at some point but it could last a long time.
