Three weeks ago my tires were slashed. I replaced a front and rear tire. A week later my battery light kept coming on when I was driving and one day it wouldn't start at all, so I would jump start it, thinking it just needed a new battery. A mechanic told me that it was the alternator and when I brought it in to my regular mechanic I also mentioned that to him. He replaced it with just a battery and replaced the sensor light for the oil, since that was on too. I spent $280. That same week, only two days later, the battery light came on too. I called him and asked what it could be, and he said it might be the alternator and I asked if he didn't check it. He said they did.I brought it that weekend to a different mechanic becuase I thought the one I normally go to was ripping me off. It was the alternator, but since that was fixed, now sometimes the oil light still comes on. When I got my tires replaced I also got new brake lights. Now they don't come on at all when I am driving. ?????
