Question

loosing power

Sent to Car Experts November 26, 2004 9:35 p.m.

I have a 1992 olds silouhette van that has over 200,000 miles on it. The van still runs good, there is no knocking or oil leaks. I just put in some new spark plugs, but didn,t replace the wires. I want to know what is it that makes the engines run somewhat sluggish, and run like it's loosing power. It's a v6 3.8 engine, I want to see what is the next step as far as trying to get the engine back to running full power. No leaks, and no engine noise. when I get up to about 40 to 45 miles an hr. the engine begins to shake, after I step on the gas it runs fine, but still laks the power.
