I have a clicking noise coming from behind my dash at the speedometer. I only here it when I let off of the gas and it stops when the car is almost to a complete stop. What could it be coming from?

Hello

I waited to see if someone was going to answer you. I have the same exact problem on one of my own personal cars. I am a very good mechanic but I just haven't had time to take the unit apart. I did use an automotive stethoscope to locate the "clicking sound". My wife drove while I listened very closely. The sound came from the speedometer or surrounding area. I speculate that it may be the odometer. I haven't had a chance to take it apart but you can stay in touch if you want. I will find the problem.

Dan
