clunking noise in my front end

My 1998 sable has had new struts,breaks, tires and bearings all in the last few months but makes a "clunking" noise when I turn the wheel right or left ,my mechanic tried replacing some pins (forgot the name of them) he thought might be the culprit but to no avail-- he has no idea hwere the noise is coming from and I'm afraid of waiting until the noise becomes more apparent before doing anything about it

If it does it when turning then it's most likely coming from the outer CV Joints which are at each end of your drive axles.
