Jeep Cherokee-2wd-88,000 milies. The hood sensor is constantly warning that the hood is open as I drive down the road, hood closed.Every bump I go over the hood is open warning goes off. A mechanic hooked up a sensor reading machine which displayed the gate was open when it really was closed. He lube the gate sensors but the hood is open warning is still going off. Does the hood sensor reading really mean the gate is messed up? The hood shocks were replaced less than months ago. How do I fix this annoying problem? Is it the gate or hood? If is the gate what can be done to stop the warning? Thank you.
