My BMW just overheated and I heard a popping noise come from the engine . I let it cool down and this AM drove it to a parking lot in Mahattan until I find a mechanic.

How do I find a trustworthy mechanic in Manhattan and what would u think the worst case scenario is on this type of repair in terms of cost ? My belief is if I bring it to BMW they will rip me off.
