My 1994 Chey 5.7L Pick-up died shortly after running the ...

My 1994 Chey 5.7L Pick-up died shortly after running the engine today. The engine was not over-heated. It was like someone shut off the ignition, but all electronics were still on. I turned it over and it started right back up. About 15 minutes later, it did it again, and has never started again.

This is what I checked so far:
1. Checked the 20A fuel pump fuse on the firewall panel - OK
2. When I tried to turn it over and stop, I can here the fuel pump in the gas tank (which is full). This is a normal buzzing sound I here all the time.
3. I took a plug out of the block, re-attached the wire, held it against the block, had a friend turn it over, and I did not see a spark. By the way, the plug was tan, but dry. There was no fuel on it from trying to turn it over....

I assume that I have no spark. My next move is to check / replace the cap & rotor on the distributor.

I'm not convinced that I am getting fuel either. I am not a mechanic by any means, but assume the basic things turn over an engine, like fuel & spark.

If the distributor issues don't work, I'm afraid I will have to have it towed. Before I do that, is there anything else I might want to try?

Thanks
