We have a 97 Eldorado, starts cold properly, when warmed up cranks for 8-10+ seconds, always starts, runs well, good fuel economy, no missing in engine. Temp. installed another used matching computer, fuel filter, etc, had local mechanic go over, he checked the three sensors, etc. 130000 miles on vehicle. Once in while starts properly warm.

Hello Driller and welcome to Just answer.com, Super mechanic here. I would guess that the sensors that were checked are the TPS, MAP and ECT. There is a rariance in the engine coolant temperature sensor, (ECT) pertaining to the temkperature of it as to the resistance in it.

The best way to tell would be to install a new one for about $12. There is also an intake air temp sensor that normally won't set a trouble code, they are more like $15

Of course, you want to make sure that the cooling system is full and the engine is reaching the proper temperature before you replace these parts. Let me know, thanks
